Here is a concept shot from an imagined remake of The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring Maisie Williams as Agnes—not bad.
here we have two interpretations of Random Dent from the final Hitchhikers book the upper in she is about age 20 and the lower-about 30 which i think best represents her as a good fit in the books instead of the terror teen in the book what do you think? i enjoyed her as a practical character though she didn’t fit the universe and that last book was clearly douglass being sick to death of the hitchhikers brand and just wanted it dead and gone forever really put me off Stephen Fry being associated with it the books were fine at Douglass’ passing this book was just a cash grab by all involved ;(.anyway here she is feel free to like her or hate her its the internet so i assume extreme hatred
Rat Thing from Snow Crash
In Neal Stephenson’s cyberpunk novel Snow Crash, Rat Things are former guard dogs that have been transformed into half-animal, half-machine sentinels. Their flesh has been fused with high-tech cybernetics, giving them near-invulnerable armored bodies, blistering speed, and tireless loyalty to their corporate masters. By day they lurk in fortified kennels, plugged into virtual reality simulations that keep them docile; by night they patrol with terrifying efficiency, a blur of metal and fur. Both tragic and monstrous, the Rat Things embody the novel’s darker vision of technology — living beings stripped of freedom and rebuilt as perfect security machines.
Door from Neverwhere
A young woman from the mysterious House of Arch, Door is gifted with the uncanny ability to open anything: locks, doors, barriers, and even passageways between worlds. She is resourceful, sharp-witted, and carries the weight of her family’s murder, which drives her search for truth and justice. Though she appears fragile, with her slight frame and flame-red hair, she radiates quiet strength and determination. In the shadowy realm of London Below — a world of forgotten tunnels, hidden markets, and strange magic — Door is both guide and key, leading others through thresholds that would remain forever closed without her.
Jack Flanders ZBS
A wandering adventurer of the mind and spirit, Jack Flanders drifts through a series of surreal radio dramas by ZBS, where dreams, mysticism, and mystery blur with reality. He’s a laid-back, bemused traveller — often barefoot, with a fondness for coffee, jazz, and gentle humor — who finds himself pulled into strange worlds filled with talking animals, lost cities, and esoteric riddles. Though he never seeks out heroics, Jack’s curiosity and quiet integrity make him the reluctant center of these quests. His journeys are less about treasure and more about discovery, reminding listeners that the real adventure lies in perception, consciousness, and the odd corners of the human spirit.
