On 1st July a British brain damage survivor held a Walk With The Baron event to raise awareness and support for those suffering with all forms of brain damage. His goal was to walk a full marathon length of 42km but he encouraged all participants to set thei own goals. I wanted to try for a lap around the local lake but thats way beyond my current capabilities. It was about 2hrs on my feet anyway and a record for me. Wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my dear friend Emma. She allowed me to try pushing myself with some new things. Her presence and patience helped so very much with my focus and feeling of safety.

Doesn’t seem like much but good people like her make a world of good for people like myself. She has her own family and health concerns but kindly gave me support I badly needed. I wish i could be half as good a person as she is.
